AirSpring Replacement @ Dealer Experience...if anyone cares
I struggled with finding a decent Indy to do a airspring replacement in Westchester/Rockland County - New York....I put it off as long as I could...especially since the last Indy tried to change every part until something worked..well last night in torrential rain storm...they gave way...called Palisades Audi, was told to drop off the car....picked it up today...parts $529/labor $275.00....only one side needed replacement ...As much as I hated to pay that much, several points impressed me...they took me without an appointment...could have raped me and charged me for two airsprings...and there appears to be a Audi-Brain Drain where I live and was grateful to get the car back in a single day...

Parts and labor seems fair.
I need to replace my LF spring this weekend and Clairparts charged $450.00 for spring and kit. According to ex-Pkz the price of the spring has gone through the roof. Last year I paid 340.00 for spring and kit when I did my RF. Depending on how frozen the pinch bolt was 2+hrs is not unreasonable.

Re: nice! labor is ok..its about 2 hours...
I did not know Rapid Parts does installation/repairs....I been there for go fast parts in VW days...never even thought of them....I have some additional work like cam shaft seals (dealer estimate $1600/p&l) think they can do better...?

Hmmm....
Rapid did my first Chip and Inside they had some good VW work going on.
For your job..I would only go to KMD, sure rapid can do it, but as far as trus and expertise..especially with a 2.7T and a 4.2 no one is like Danny.
Google Map 2 Bergenline Ave in Westwood and you can plan a back route to him with ease.

I've had good luck w/Palisades Audi
I had them do the same job a month ago. About the same price. Nice to deal with and fixed it fast, also. Yeah, I could have paid less at an indy, and will probably look into KMD in Westwood, the next time something goes bad. But for a dealer, they're professional and neat and I always pick up the car freshly washed from them. That means a lot to me.
