Anyone have the Thule North Cape cargo box?
Will ask him for a pic.
(it would probably fit up to ~180cm, though - my 167cm board has plenty of margin). Capacity would easily hold 5-6 snowboards (w/ bindings) or 6 pr skis.Quite happy with it - quiet (LOTS quieter than an open ski rack on the Thule), and narrow enough to fit at least one bike mount alongside. Dual-hinge system is really slick. Built-in tiedowns are a very nice touch. Light enough for me to put on by myself (but just barely). The silver top doesn't exactly match my Highland Green, though. Good thing I'm a function-over-form type.
1600 is very nice and quiet. My bud is a snowboarder and has a Thule 1600 on his 325ix wagon. All of my skis are bigger than 180 so I'd need something longer (though I think you can get one or two pair of 180+ in the 1600 diagonally). The North Cape is black (like my car), is low profile and I like the look of it. Width is about the same as the 1600 (33" vs 32" for the North Cape). Quality is also pretty high, apparently the North Cape is made in Sweeden (other Thule boxes are made in Chicago) and has a metal frame. Its the closest box in quality to the Packasport without the Packasport price (and weight). Can't wait to see what it looks like on an ar.

Looks like he was able to squeeze on one bike attachment:

He's actually showing me his freshly painted bike in this one, but it gives a good view of the box on the car too:

Personally I think it's TOO low profile, and I prefer the Thule Evolution ones better.
