Default Some questions about Thule rack with Yakima box

I have a Yakima box and, after doing much searching here, think I want to get a Thule mount and bar setup from roofrackshop.co.uk. Some of the posts were old, though, and I just have a couple questions.

1. Roofrackshop lists two rail types for the Q7, "Roofrailings 06-" and "Roofrailings 06- (Alternative Option)" - What's the difference?

2. The Thule 440 bars are designed for Subaru, but fit on a Q7, albeit very snug. True? Any other disadvantages to these bars?

3. The Thule Aero appears most popular here, presumably offering lowest noise. I read in this post that Yakima boxes fit on Thule bars. My Yakima box has the newer J-shaped, adjustable (fore and aft) clips. This should clamp on to the Aero bars, right?

4. I found a Thule parts list from Dec '07 and just want to verify that it's still accurate. If I order these parts should I be all set? What does the fit kit do?
4902 Feet
4917 Fit Kit
869 Aero Bars

I want to place my order soon through roofrackshop. Thanks for any help!

My Q7:
2008, Calla White, 4.2, S-line, 6-passenger, Air Suspension

I've been using the Thule 440 bars for a year and a half, and I love them. They are a touch snug when you put them on, but work perfectly and add only a tiny bit of noise. I got them from MUCH less than any other option, and I couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out.

Default Thanks for the response, Maui.

I might be able to tolerate a snug fit for some saved greenbacks.

The other option bars may be plain black bars. I got them from the roof rack shop for my q7 when they sold out of aero bars.

I recall they look similar to the 440 bars but are sized appropriately for the q7.

I've attached a picture that shows the black bars from a distance.

Good deal. I ordered the parts list noted in my original post and am hoping roofrack will send me some tracking info to know when to expect delivery.

I hope the bars are thick enough to be properly clamped by my Yakima box.
