Default Buying AR 00

Hi.
I would like to be excused for my poor english.
I'm from Portugal and I'considering to change mine A61.9tdi of 02/99 for a AR2.5tdi 12/00.
Itīs green, tip, with a lot a extras.
Very nice car in did.
However, after testing twice the AR (and check de post's in this forum) I've noticed the so caled vibration in the steer, when braking at high speed.
The salesman assured me that is only a problem with the disk's brakes and garantee that with neuw's front disk the problem will disapear.
I'm real in love with the AR.
Should I trust him?
Thánkīs for your's opinions...

Default I had the same problem and ended up having all 4 rotors and brakes replaced

Once that was done, the car was perfect. You'll notice on this board that the Allroad's rotors are a definite weak spot.

Cheers!

Default Easy Fix - rotors and pads

Except you'll probably have to schedule this fix every 12,000 miles - it's just part of the required ar maintenance.

Unless you go with an after-market brake product (like StopTech).

Default allroad rotors tend to warp easily

I had mine replace under warranty, took care of the vibration. Maybe you can make the sale conditional of rotor/pad replacement so you can cancel if you were not happy about results?
