Default Calling ex-PzKW Kommandant...

I recently posted a message about the Tanoga SS, asking which version (early or late) to get, and your response was to get the late one. Well, i emailed AWE yesterday, and this is the response that i got:
Question: "According to the instructions on your web site, I should get the early model, because I do have an arc-shaped plastic guide. But then again, what is it with the production dates? Does 02/01 mean February 2001? If that were the case, then I would need the late model, as my car was manufactured in June 2003. Also, the folks with Tanoga short shifters that I talked to on www.audiworld.com all say that I need the late model. So please advise me as to which model is the correct one for my car."
Answer: "According to what you have said, you will need the early style Tanoga short shifter. The installation of the short shifter is $150.00, and the installation of the DTS bar is: $75.00."

What do you make up of this?

Default it's late model, i have ex-PzKW Kommandant stock(modified) shifter from his 02 allroad in my 01/01

build date 01 allroad, he probably put my stock 01/01 shifter in his 02 allroad when he traded in for his 04. i think awe web page is accurate for s4 but needs work for allroads. who did you talk to?

Default shtaes is right AWE doesn't know much about the allroad yet, except for what

I have assisted them with, but they are coming up fast now that they have the downpipes done. :P On another topic I have made the first cut in the tubing and ran the first weld for my exhaust. Who knows by the time it goes out of production I may have my exhaust done.

The plastic arc is not relevent, the angle of the linkage is. The DTS will make a big difference.

Default ex-PzKWK - are you going to use AWE's DPs...

...with your exhaust? What else are you planning for the custom exhaust?

I just installed APR's exhaust. I like it but want more sound and better throttle response would be good too. My plan is to research AWE's DPs some more and probably go with those sometime this summer. So end result would be AWE DPs into APR catback. If that is still too quiet I'll take the MTM CR I have and just run straight 2.25" pipes from that back.
