Well for me it's not personal, just business.
It's certainly an Aramid of some kind, is it Kevlar? I doubt it, but Kevlar is a trademarked name for that particular formula. It's not the only stuff out there. From working on them I will say that it GREATLY resembles the inner plies of a typical tire. Not really a surprise there.

BTW, here's the hard part I've been thinking of here...
...how do you get the band clamp on the lower side of the boot? It has to be seamless, and it must be a process to get that on.

Thank you, Ex. The little love thing is also not personal! On construction, IIRC, the unit is more
than just a flexible tube, but part is also a hard can, right? The bellows portion is the flexible aramid that you described.
