Driver side Turbo is smoked..My baby is at the dealer waiting for new turbos under warranty.
I heard a poof then loss of power, but no smoke.
A day later the dreaded turbo lady came to see me with her dentist drill blazing!
I took my tech around the block and he said that my driver side turbo is toast!
I am in an 04 A4 with the sport package for a bit, I miss the torque of the 2.7T but the A4 is still fun to drive.
Anyone had turbos done lately, how long were you down?

Does this mean you get two brand new turbos?
Or AoA warrant the defective ones only?
I noticed that you have a bunch of goodies under the hood. Did you swap it out before going in for the surgery?

It doesn't take long to swap turbos. It takes time to get approved for warranty repair (by AoA) and
then waiting for new turbos to arrive. 2 days should be sufficient. Btw, they are supposed to change both.

They are doing both turbos and just waiting for the sign off.....
Goodies were left under the hood. Many of them were preventative on my part and we have a mod friendly dealer.

dealer does not need any approval to replace turbos as long as the car is still under factory warranty.

You really think the dealer will replace turbos or any expensive repair w/o getting approval first?
Who do you think pays for that warranty work? What happens if AoA says "warranty void"?

K04's(+Intercooler) with the right chip/ECU, header + exhaust and few more small pieces you'll get around 410-420 WHP. But you'll have to consider the entire package, not just the Turbos.
