error code P1857-35-00
Can anyone out there please help?
My 2.5tdi Allroad has developed a running problem and the abs,esp and height level lights are lit up on the clocks. I had the car diagnosed and the P1857-35-00 code came up. On several audi forums its listed as a Load Error Code from the ECU. Whats the answer to this problem?

The symptoms and codes may not be related...
the three lights have historically been the brake pedal switch. It could be something else. A true VAG-Com scan may help. But a dealer or a good Audi Knowlegable independant shop should be sough out.

Re: Is there any fault code in the ECU?
just been for a test drive and obviously the engine was cold. the car drove like a dream and as good as ever until it warmed up! then the 3 afore mentioned lights came on and it started running a little rough. by the time i got back it was not running well at all and when revving the engine blue smoke was coming from the exhaust! just what the hell is going on?

I assume that you had cleared all the fault codes before this test drive. Is there any fault code in
the ECU, TCU, and ABS after this test drive?
I will guess that
the ECU has the 00550 fault code, and
the TCU and the ABS have the fault codes about "load signal error".
If my guess is almost right, it means that the ECU had some problem to calculate the load. So the ECU can not send the load signal to other modules, or the load calculated by the ECU is not reasonable for other modules.
The rough meaning of the load signal is the torque calculated by the ECU according to some parameters. The major parameters are the MAF, the fuel injection, the ignition timing, and others.
I have no much ideas about TDI, and can not find any description about the fault code "00550: start or injection regulation control difference-intermittent". But it seems that there are some problems about the fuel supply. I geuss that the TDI has a very high fuel pressure system, like the FSI.
This is only my guess. Hope this will help.
