Fog Light Bulb Replacement
Thought I'd share a little. Yesterday I ordered replacemernt bulbs for my fogs. Bought them from www.supremepowerparts.com, recommended by AWE Tuning. They sold me some Illumico (sp?) 70W super whites. Suppposedly they match the xenons in color which was the reason why I was upgrading to begin with - the stocks look too brown / yellow IMO. As you will note, I also jumped up in wattage per the seller's suggestion...hopefully this won't cause any problems for on-coming drivers (at least more than the xenons already do). Anyway, I paid something like $49 with shipping. Anyone used aftermarket bulbs in their fogs?
P.S. They also sell a true yellow bulb for driving in heavy fog.

Caveat Emptor...
...70W x 2 = 140W /12V = 11.67 Amps. You have a 15 Amp fuse in your fog circuit, but you also have (as I recall) at least one 35W (~3 Amp) rear fog light.
You're pushing the curcuits with this, and if you have a newer model with two rear fogs, using everything may pop the fuse.

Thanks is it different for the S4?
The gentleman that recommended the 70W bulb had done this upgrade on his S4. As usual, this aftermarket shop was not keenly aware of the ar's specs. He did say that I could expect less life out of a 70W relative to the stock wattage.

Don't know, but...
...the fuse panel door (in my car on the left side of the dash, where the driver's door closes) has a diagram of the fuses inside it. You can check the fuse for the fogs.

Whatever you do... don't get blue lights in an effort to match the Xenon's optical refraction...
Too cheesy! =) (And the blue light causes glare for oncomming drivers.)
PIAA Superwhites are 3800K, which is a very nice, white color. You can get 55/60W H4 bulbs with "perform like" 80/90W bulbs. They sell 4300K Suerplasmas, but those are blue tinted - cheesy.
