Default Forging Ahead.... and Happy

I got home from work on the beautiful day and said to myself:

"Self...its time to get under the hood and put those stealthy black beauties in (Forge 007 DIverter Valves)."

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/63674/forge1.jpg">

So I changed clothes and got the following tools:
1 small screwdriver, a knife, needlnose pliers and as I later lerned, a nut driver to fit the hose clamp heads.

Take off the plastic cover and loosen the left stock diverter's hose clamps first. Then carefully twist/ rotate the small 3/8 hose where it meets the diverter, (grab mini hose clamp if you need to with the needlenose) you can pull off the hose from the valve this way, without cutting the hose or the clamp. Do not pry it, only rotate and pull straight. Prying will crack the stock valve. Then twist the end where it meets the engine and put on the side. If this does not work cut the hose and replace it with similar vacuum reinforced hose from any auto parts store.

Twist the valve free of the two large hoses and put the valve in a safe place. Take your new valve and using a little oil from you car's dip stick, coat all three ends a bit and insert them, large ends first. Using the nut driver (a flat head can't get enough grip), tighten both ends. Now take the small tube and pull off the hose clamp from one end. The Forge valve end is a bit larger than stock and won't fit with the clamp in place. Put on the supplied hose clamp and tighten with a very fine flat head screwdriver. Push the remaining end on the metal tube that is part of the engine section.

Remove the right side the same way as the left but you will find it easier if you unplug the wire plug that is closest to you (picture). This will allow you to move the much longer 3/8 tube as needed. You will also need to cut off about 1/2 to 1" of the tube where it meets the engine. Use two new hose clamps for this tube. Make sure the new valves are secure and completely in their large hoses, check the clamps once again and plug in the removed plug.

Re install the plastic cover make sure ALL the tools and parts are out of the engine bay, and start your engine...
