Default That's why I din't go the removable type. of chip... In is in...

...Nothing to vibrate loose.
So far since I've been on the board I have read THREE GIAC chip socket problems. All the same symptoms. Some had thier chip inserted incorrectly.... another had problems with the socket.

While direct port is the best solution, it hink APR'S switchable programs is right behind it.

No. GIAC is in beta, APR keeps saying they are close, but they won't set a release date.

Default I heard...

What was giving them a hard time was the switchable program... Although I heard they have made some progress. *MIGHT* be available in 3 or so months...

Default That is an easy solution... dump the GIAC.
