Having problems with EZPass/SmartTag in the allroad

I've had problems when mounted to left of mirror, fine on right....
That was with my IPASS out here in Chicago, now part of the EZPass group. Was told that the compass in the mirror interferes. Never had an issue since mounting to the right, and it's been 7+ years.

I had problems in ME, NH and MA with mine. Had to move in down under the mirror....
I also painted it black to camo in with the mirrow from the outside. SmartPass send that they had numerous issue with some models of German cars.

That is what I thought the first time we went through and it didn't work
So I got a brand new one and that didn't work as well. I switched out one from another car and same thing.
