Default HELP! Ok I changed coil pack 5 as the but still same symptoms.....

Again car idle is ruff and lots of vibration from engine.

I bought a coil pack from autozone($60). Posted to see which cylinder #5 was and Paulroad says its driver side middle. So changed and same symptons. Checked on line and says cylinder 5 is driver side rear so switched around and same symptoms still.

What do I do now?

Please help.

Default Probably one of the igniters on the air box...Switch the wires (tight but doable) or...

igniters themselves and see if it follows itself to the #2 cylinder. These are pricy items so test before you buy one. Both of the igniters are the same.

Default Igniters by airbox? Can you direct me to an illustration somewhere

so I can find it?

I tried search but didnt see anything.

So if I switch the 2 ignitors and run diagnostic and it shows bad coil pack on cylinder 2 then I need noew Ignitors? Is that right?

Default Here you go...

I have an 01. Later years might have them located in a different place: ie. on your engine firewall (towards the dash) or on the fender well on the passenger side of the car.
Brown plugs are for cyls 4-6 and black cyls 1-3
If the misfire follows to the other side (cyl #2) then you will need one new igniter - the bad one that's now plugged into the black wires.
Good Luck!

Default ok. So your saying to switch just 1 of each the orange and black

wires to the other? So I would have an orange and black on each of the ignitors?

Is that correct?

Sorry for all the ?'s

Switch both black to the other igniter then both brown. If it's too tight unbolt & switch them
