Default New allroad. (new to me.)

My growing family needed a larger vehicle, and when we started looking around, the allroad just made sense. AWD for Colorado winters, nice suspension and ground clearance for mountain driving. Leather for the missus, and plenty of room in the backseat for a carseat. And in the way back, a nice compartment for our dog.

So today, I bought a 2003 allroad. And it is fantastic. We traded in our S60 and have not missed it for a second. The build quality is fantastic. Zippier ride. Great interior finishes. Couldn't be happier. Merry Xmas to us!

So I'm sure I'll be hanging around these boards. I lurked for a good couple of hours earlier, it seems like there's plenty of traffic and great knowledge. I'm sure I'll be picking your brains in the future.

For now, a simple question. Does anyone know if a full sized spare fits in the wheel compartment? Eyeballing it, it looks pretty tight.

Thanks all. Look forward to hanging around here in the future.

Default Welcome >

Indeed the allroad is a great car for the type of location in which you live; very fitting.

I don't think a full size spare w/standard tire fits in that area. It would seem to me that if it did, audi would have given us one an not that inflation pump instead. I guess it't just one of those things that make you go hhmm?

Of course I know there are some here that have tired though with a smaller profile tire, or others who simply pulled it in favor of a can of 'fax-a-flat' type product.

Default Good choice! The allroad is a most versitile car. Welcome to the aw boards!

A full-size spare will not fit the spare tire compartment. so careful out there in the woods.
