Default Not to beat a dead horse...but wiper blades. Why go with 2001's?

I searched but all I found was people telling others to switch from 03+ back to the 01 wiper arms /blades.

My question is why. ALL of my blades are in very poor condition right now and I need to get them replaced, so if there is a good reason to go to the 2001 version I will do that, but I don't know what that reason is.

Also, anyone know how to adjust the spray. My far right spray line shoots over the car. It's useful for soaking the cars next to me on the highway, but I'm not into wasting fluid. I tried a toothpick but it seemed like it was really stuck at that angle.

Default the 2002+ I-BEAM blades are costly and hard to obtain....

you can go to a dealer and pay 40.00 a pair, contact carson at riverside or genuineaudiparts and pay about 20.00 or less..+ shipping.

If you change the arm to 2001.. then you buy blades at your local autozone, advance, Wal-Mart, etc. for about 6.00 each.

Default (Free) Tip of the month: Bosch ICON doesn't fit our 01/02 but the TRICO NEO-FORM does the trick :-)

Same design as the ICON - works just awesome - select the 22" and you are good to go at any Advanced Auto parts store.

Default So if you replace the arms, you just benefit from a different connection point between the ..

arms and blades? That way you can get chepo blades? Am I reading that correctly?

Default silly question... but where do you get the '01 wiper arms?

Shokan? I haven't considered swapping the arms, but maybe I should.

Default Really? I have ICONs on my 01 and they seem to fit OK.

They don't last terribly long, but they work pretty well for 6 months or so.

Default I've been researching forums and they all tend not to offer the Icon, even advanced auto doesn't

have the allroad for Icon's in their system.
But either way, the Trico Neo-form are exactly the same and fit like a shoe, and 3 bucks less ;-)

Cool, I would suggest to put the part number on allroadfaq for the ICON so people can get them.
