Default O2 sensors or what?

in preparing for emissions test in Jan I got the following codes:

2 Faults Found:
18032 - MIL Request Signal Active (Check TCM for errors too!) 624 - 35-00 -
16805 - Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1 P0421 - 35-00 - Efficiency Below Threshold Readiness: 0000 0000

followed the readiness procedure, and was able to renew tabs.

now i'm trying to fix the problem. Replaced the O2 sensors on the right bank, now I get a "too high setting".

17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S1
P1113 - 35-10 - Internal Resistance too High - Intermittent 16805 - Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1
P0421 - 35-00 - Efficiency Below Threshold
18032 - MIL Request Signal Active (Check TCM for errors too!) P1624 - 35-00 -
16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1 P0134 - 35-10 - No Activity - Intermittent

Readiness: 0000 0000

got the replacement parts from carpartswarehouse.com, made for the allroad 2.7.

any ideas?

Regarding your original problem, I'm not sure why you decided to replace the oxygen sensor... Your cat is starting to perform poorly, and no oxygen sensor will fix that, only a new cat. And you replaced both sensors? With aftermarket?

Put your original sensor 1 back, install a spacer (aka spark plug non-fouler) on sensor 2 and you'll get rid of both codes.

Also scan your TCU, you have a transmission fault code stored there.

We have to replace the Torque converter, but wanted to handle the engine problems. Last month, I posted the other codes, and was told to replace the bank 1 o2 sensors. So we did. The after market seemed like it would work. obviously we are not mechanics, but will try the spacer. I think this will just get rid of the codes, but not the problem. replacing the cat will be a larger problem.

I appreciate the help. I've been trying to find a shop that will replace the Torque Converter, without wanting to do a whole transmission rebuild.

It's unfortunate you replaced the o2 sensors which did not solve the problem. Use the spacer and don't worry about replacing the expensive cats/down pipe. It will still pass emissions.

Have you checked out 517trans.com ? Talk to Sam @ 517, he will address the issues and eventually get you set up with a great (Stronger/updated)TC ...

Default Just to make sure I understand

here is a photo of the O2 sensor we took out, and the spacer to put on the new one.

It looks like there was a spacer on the old B1 S2.

is this the right spacer? do we use 1 or 2?

Google "spark plug anti fouler" these are the spacers discussed. Available at any auto parts store. Some have doubled them when gutting a catalytic converter. Some more elaborate designs out there as well, but the cheap ones are effective. Used to call them "whammies" back in the old days.
