ok allroaders, here is my problem (alignment related)
I brought my car in for an alignment today and the shop was unable to get the car into "spec". Specifically, the left rear toe is off by a huge amount. spec is .08-.22 and the best they could get the car to was -1.13. They didn't see anything wrong, but said that "something" must be bent.
Also my front camber is off left is -1.7 (spec is -.6 to -1.4) and my right is -1.5. when I questioned my camber being off, they replied that until the toe problem is fixed that everything else will be off too.
so my questions are
1. why would toe be so far off and be unable to get close to spec?
and
2. does it make sense that my front camber is incorrect because of my left rear toe?
my thrust angle is out of range too (-.67) but I'm sure this is related to the toe.

As I understand it only toe is adjustable and the others follow from it and it is dependent
upon what level you adjust at...I think most adjust at level 2 but I have never had to have this done and my car is an '01 with almost 98k on it...it is rare to need an alignment I think, but I am not the expert hopefully Ex_Pz will chime back in and straighten us both out and maybe my memory will serve me better next time...you can also search on toe and camber and read until your hearts' content

my .02..
As the allroads age the height levels will vary over time, so each corner's setting is different from the other.
I think that before an alingment is done that it would call for RE ZEROing the home heigh so all corners are equal. The hom height is level 2 and 402MM center of the wheel to the fender lip.
Once this is done then an allignemnt can be done correctly @ level 2.
