Default Ordered 4 Kumho Ecsta STXs from Tire Rack. I'll let you know how it goes.

They should arrive within a few days and should be in place by next week. I hope to be able to provide positive and useful feedback to other AR owners looking for a high quality tire at a great price ($92 each, if you're curious). BTW, they will be replacing Pirelli Allroads with 17K on them.

Excellent. I look forward to your report. I've got 14K on my 712s and am very happy.

Do you know who you're going to have install them? How much are they charging? Anyone have experience with their dealership installing them?

Mount and balance at a good tire shop generally runs ~$50.

Default I'll shop around and make sure the shop is responsible for any damages the wheels incur during the

mounting process. I'll guess the dealer will probably kill me in labor, but I'm wondering if there's any science in regards to alignment and perhaps should let the dealer handle that. Does anyone have experience doing alignment on their AR outside of the dealer ? Anything I should know ?

Default I'd think an alignment, if necessary, would be covered by Audi.

I intend to hit them up with it at my 20K service as my RF/RR Pirellis are wearing out on the outside edge - if the tires make it that far (I'm running Arctic Alpins in the winter). Anyone had experience with getting a free alignment out of Audi?

BTW, I've had good experience with Discount Tire - I don't know how they are in your area, though, but others on the board seem to like them.

Under Audi assured, you're entitled to 1 alignment/year.
