Question on rear Wiper

Question on rear Wiper
After changing the wiper motor I have noticed that on oter allroads the wiper wipes from left to right at the back, mine goes from right to left, did they change this at some stage ? Also have they chnaged the blade types on later models mine is a 2001 model. Thanks
