Default Radio problems

I have a 04 allroad with sirrus satellite radio. I have been experiencing intermittent FM and Sat reception and not always at the same time. Is the roof mounted shark fin antenna used for both systems? I have an extra symphony head unit and swapping it out did not change the intermittent reception.

I finally fixed my intermittent sound system. The problem that I was having was that the voltage to the head unit, satellite tuner, Bose amp and am/fm antenna amp was low and anywhere from 1 vdc to 13vdc and not steady. It was just getting worse and I was resorting to using my Ipod and headphones, so I took it to the dealership to have them look it over. They figured it was a bad connection in a connector buried somewhere behind the dash and would require pulling the dash out! They quoted me a price of $1200, mostly all labor. So I asked the tech what if I just ran a new fused power line to all the audio components and he agreed that would work and be MUCH cheaper. So I got one of those piggyback fuse holders and ran new wire from the fuse 37 location to all the components, buried the new wire neatly under the moldings and then spliced into their hot leads (red wire with a yellow stripe) and bada bing bada boom it worked. Kind of a MacGyver fix but it sure beats pulling out the dash board and possibly causing more problems.
