Default Service Indicator at startup

I'm a newbie... with no owner's manual yet...

When I start my allroad in the morning I get a service due reminder 400kms, 200kms etc... as of today I am "due" for service but I actually just had the oil changed last week.

My question is:

How do I reaset the service due light?

Also, can anyone confirm how this works? Is it simply based on total mileage count or does it also factor in driving modes, temperatures etc?

Thanks!

Default Look under the steering wheel for owner's manual. There is a special space for it there.

I assume you need a VAG (electronic) tool to reset the service light. As far as I know, it only uses mileage.

Default this is a family forum...

..we shouldn't be talking about "a special place". Right?

Press right side button in Gauge cluster, turn ignition on, should reset to next event.
