Termination of access to Audi service info
As mentioned in the fuel sender recall thread, VW/Audi has terminated owner access to their website containing the official recalls, bullentins, circulars. I don't know about everyone else, but I feel this is an awful move on their part. Too many times my local service dept has "forgotten" to address some of the bullentin and recall issues until I reminded them. Without access to Audi's official website page, I feel rather unsupported.
Please everyone who agrees, take a moment and go to the audiusa.com site and sent them an email expressing your concern.
Sorry for repeating this as a new thread, but I thought it is important enough that I didn't want anyone to miss it.
Thanks.

Agreed, I just sent my comments too
I almost think that the national press would want to hear about this too. They love jumping on screwups by auto manufacturers (just look at the way ford/firestone is on the front page of every newspaper at the moment), and especially in the tech-savvy regions of the country this could be a major downer for audi/vw.
Thoughts?

I sent an email on their form last night. It would be great if we could get a real email or phone/fax number for someone in the company at a decision level.

Here's how to help change this back
I called the main Audi phone number, where they confirmed that Audi had now decided to charge for access to their technical information.
I asked who I could talk to about that and got transferred to client relations at 800 822 2834, option 3. I talked to a nice woman named Kerry.
I told her that my decision to buy an allroad was based on having seen the technical bulletins and that having them cut off sent the wrong message from Audi to its customers.
She said that she'd log my call into their system, and that the more people who called, the better chance we'd have for a positive response.
So, if you're bothered by the cut-off of access to www.vwwebsource.com please give her a call.
Also, it would be great if someone could cross-post this information to the other forums.

Gee... I sent my complaint last night, but I didn't get any response yet. I feel sort of slighted. At least I know what the response will be, should they choose to send it to me.
