since you were asking about non-Audi V60 compatibility with our phone pre-wiring.

Hey Thanks guy! I appreciate that! Too bad about the phone though....
I had a feeling it wasn't going to work. I'm not technologically proficient with cell phones, but I wonder since the V60 hardware is the same, but the firmware (this is software right?) is different....would it be possible to clone someone's Audi V60 firmware and install that in a non-Audi V60. Or would there be problems with ESN's and such? Food for thought.

So far I haven't heard of anyway to acquire or install the Audi firmware...
Yes, firmware is essentially software. It's just hardware specific software, executed during "boot-up", for system initialization. =)
