I know the feeling. My 02 allroad is in the shop today for the 20,000 service and tommorow the P-6's are gone for a set of new Pilot Sport AS. I'll post a report after a test drive. Tires cost $804.00 plus $15 a tire to mount and balance.

Default Agreed. Go with the Michelin Pilot Sport AS. I love mine.

I finally had a puncture and was forced to get new tires. From everyones suggestion I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport AS and I'm very happy with my decision. I finally had the chance to get them out in the rain and its amazing the difference bewteen the Pirelli and the Michelin. I didn't hydroplane ONCE and I was doing 60 in a downpour. With the Pirelli's I would only have gone about 40 and would hydroplane on anything over 1" deep.

Default Try Kumho ECSTA KH11...

...I have them already on my Allroad, and they perform great. Much better than the Pirelli P6.

They were rated nbr ONE in Tirerack´s Grand Touring Tire survey. They only cost $ 89.00 a piece. Nothing beats this tire in value for money.

Of course, you will loose some offroad ability (which is not much with the Pirellis), but you will have a much better tire for dry and wet high speed cruising. Highly recommended.

Good luck.
