In case you didn't see this in one of my previous posts buried at the bottom of it.....

Speaking with a few Audi folks from Auburn Hills, was told they are currently trying to set up European delivery with pick up in Ingolstadt. WOOHOO!!! They wouldn't give definite info on specifics but that we may know as early as this fall. It kind of sounded like it has already been decided and that they were just working on the logistical side of things.

Count me in. I've had the oppurtunity to visit the Ingolstadt Headquarters and take the factory tour. To be able to go back and take delivery of a new allroad (I know, wishful thinking) and then head out on the autobahn would make my year. =)

Default They have said this for years, but the "birdie" told me it would ONLY be for the high end cars.

Cars like the S8, and the rs models. We might never see the day when we order an ordinary A4 through European delivery. It might be that it is a perk rather than a money maker as Audi is struggling to keep its market share as it is.

Default If they need marketing advice they could do well to just read a few of the posts in this and the OW

forums to see what their "real" customers want/need...seems it would be a free focus group for sure...I still get the feeling after the last few weeks of dealing with dealers and reading material from AoA that they will build them however and whenever they want and if we choose to drive them fine, if not fine...that may be a harsh assessment but I have been in the business world for a long time and would be hard pressed to find a company LESS customer sensitive.

Default Two birdies at the concierge desk at SOT Seattle. One so far was true...

1) What to say, to get into the RS4 front left seat.
2) Paths to follow to get myself a S3 3-door.

Default We had been discussing the allroad and A6 Avant S-Line when

this came up un conversation. I'm not saying that I was told it would be the whole line-up but it was "implied" that may be. Let's hope!

are you listening Audi?????

Default Re: allroad

Based on my conversations with AoA people at SoT, AoA has completely convinced themselves that a C6 Avant V8 cannot be sold in North America. I'm surprised we're even getting the 3.2 A6 Avant.

They think you allroad types will go for a Q7, and they realize they may lose you.

Default Did you talk to the guy that hung around the S8?

At Streets of Tomorrow I spoke to a guy from germany who drives an '02 allroad 6SP M. He was also the one who wants the Euro delivery to occur. He was a really nice guy who knew the A6 3.2 not doing well in Germany. Oh, and YES, I did drive the '06 RS4 in yellow. I looked like the guy in the Enzyte commercial when I stepped out of the car.

Default I cannot tell a lie, no. It would have taken more than I had with me, and...

I am not a good enough bull____* to talk my way in. So I didn't try when I got down there.
The S3 would be a "grey" market car through one of a couple different companys back on the east coast. She gave no names.
