Wild Electrical Issues
Hey guys, new to the forum but I drive an 01 allroad 2.7T and I have been dealing with some weird electrical issues. For the past few months, when I would depress my brake pedal the front right fog light would light up along with the rear brake lights... Today when I depressed the brake pedal I noticed both fog lights light up as well as the dashboard back lights i.e. The speedometer and all of those gauges, the buttons to the stereo and the air controls... Has anyone ever experienced this/ have any ideas as to what I should do?

You lost the ground connection to the brake lights. Electrons will seek the path of least resistance and they are flowing back through the filaments to get to the ground potential.
Restore the ground connection to the brake lights. You can add another new ground wire for a easy fix.

Would anyone happen to have a schematic of the wiring I should be looking for?
I don't wanna spend a few hundred dollars getting someone to do it for me but I don't wanna do any damage myself.
