Tire wear '19 -'20 e-tron?
- Goodyear Eagle's blew at 23,299 about a month ago. I was monitoring it and had only local driving for the next few weeks, so was willing to roll the dice. It blew just a mile from the house, going about 30mph. Left rear tire, inside shoulder is where it blow, but the right rear inside shoulder was getting really worn too. Somewhat surprising they went this quickly, especially since a good 4 months out of the year I am driving on snow, which I would think would be less abrasive and thus less degradation. Not so surprised of the wear pattern given that me an my boys like launch control...
--- amazed that some for your are getting 30-40k miles on them. You must have a very light right foot and not turn much!
- Had the 10k & 20k Audi service done, and I don't believe the dealership rotated the tires. The work order shows no notes indicating they did either.
- Replaced them with Toyo Extensa AS II. Yes, there are better tires out there, but these were the only once I could get immediately.

My new Etron came with Hankooks, which I thought. was strange but did some research and it looks like they are in the game now.

I lover how car industry marketing types always claim that they are implementing all this new technology, when in fact they are just bringing an inferior product up to industry standards.
Overall the Goodyears are fine, but had I been able to choose, I would have moved to a different brand. I tend to prefer Michelin, but not sure they make an electric car tire.
Do you know if the tire / rim replacement warrantee continues on the new tires up to the 5 year mark?
Thx

Summer 20" Bridgestone Alenza: Down from 7.7 mm (new) to 3.5 mm (rear) after 48' km (30' miles). Will replace after this season.
Winter 19": Nokian R3: Down from 9.2 mm (new) to 7.2 mm after 40' km (25' miles). Technically these are much softer and should wear faster, but winter demands smoother driving.
