ok this seems to be worse the last 2 days. i had a similar problem with my 5000 where you push the gas, and nothing happens. with my 5000 i had a "surge" issue, if the pedal wasnt pushed down enough it would surge to 2500 RPM, then down to idle, and so on and so on.


ANYWAY what im dealing with now feels a LOT like it, only its not surging. i push the pedal and it wont really respond and then kicks in after a second or 2. I shouldnt say its not surging, its not as bad as i described on my 5000 but at cruising (constant) speeds i feel the motor give and take a little, and also when im not giving it much gas going slow, it is almost like im taking off the gas and pushing on it, like the car kind of acts like it does when you let of the pedal in gear really fast ya know?

i dont get many responses most of the time to my weird questions but needs some advice on this, i STFA and found a few things but nothign concrete, sorry if i missed the answer. i really would appriciate any input thanks guys.

see if there's anything funny going on with your throttle cable/return spring

and it will fall off if i push it down too far. will replace and hope to see improvement thanks for the help, i didnt even think of that. and now that i do think about it yesterday my pedal had a funny "stiff" feel to it.

Maybe that, MAF or TPS. I would start by cleanning the MAF electrical plug...
