Acceleration Times
A few days ago some of you were talking about 1/4 mile times and lauching and how the A4 is faster because its easier to launch but yet our car is still better 0-60. my question is how accurate is the historical guide on AW showing 0-60 times? my friend just bought a 1998 volvo v70 t5. on this volvo maniacs site it says that the 0-60 is 7.2 or somthing and he wants to race me, is AW's 0-60 of a stock s4 at 6.2 seconds accurate? thanks for the feed back guys. and also if i chiped it to that 289 HP or whatever with upgrades like you have all done what kind of 0-60 times am i looking at with that?

0-60 times are only as good as the driver........
I've beaten cars that are way faster from a numbers standpoint just because the other driver couldn't drive.
Don't forget, the times you see in mags and such are usually the best of several runs by the pro's. I doubt I could get the posted times myself.
My suggestion is you just have some fun and do it, not like you have pink slips riding on it.

My friends car is in the shop as is mine...
When we get them back i think we will find a good place and do a few test runs, he said he heard thats the best way to know what a mod does to your car is knowing how fast it was before and after. Im pretty excited to see our times.
Also, my fried who is a female, dated this guy with a 1.8T A4, am i going to be able to beat this in a race? thanks.

2nd. To get a great 0-60 time requires abuse
mostly clutch ab use, as a stock S4 will not spin a tire off the line. Your friend doesn't have to worry as much about that in his fwd car. Do what i do. Tell people you will race all they want in 3 inches of snow...

thats one of those you need to trust us on. you CANNOT spin the tires. don't try
there is so much grip with the awd system that unless you had 500whp and all season tires, you're not spinning them from a stop.
