Default alignment results... thoughts? i'm not thrilled

1. there was room on teh camber plate to get the left front camber closer to the right (that had no more adjustment). i know right is out of spec, but left should have been at least put at edge of spec. i might add a little more negative to the left on my own.

2. left rear toe needed a "special tool". couldn't they have just used a pry tool to get that into spec. whatever, i might try to tap that in a little more

this is my DD and i want it to be easy on tires. yay, that was NOT worth $105.

They may not have centered and squared the two subframes first.

Default i can guarantee they didn't.

and i just dropped the front subframe last friday so i'm sure it's off. oh well. it's pretty close. i'm not too worried about the front camber. i have -1.5 in the other car and wear isn't bad.

is the left rear toe worth tweaking?

plus the steering wheel is straight finally.

This is why I go to a specialty Euro shop for alignments. $167 and worth every penny!

Default Were they not able to do anthing on the front...

I'd guess a deg of neg camber would be good as long as it's consistent on each side.

They toe'd it out a little (just barely), which is right.

But, doesn't look like they made many adjustments. Why couldn't they get the front camber closer?

Default Rear toe does not need a special tool. More than likely they could not

adjust it because the bolts are seized.

Mine were seized and I had to use a hydraulic press to get the bolts out - (the trapezoidal arms were off the car).

Default Agreed. Anyone in the mid atlantic use these guys before?

I talked to them on the phone and they came across as very knowledgeable. They said they set up race cars on the same rack as they would use on my S. I guess they are a Radical race car dealer.

http://www.funktionauto.com/</a
