AFAIK, the part number for the shocks/inserts are the same across the board.

Someone with EKTA could prove or disprove that assertion.

IIRC, when I was shopping for Konis, the application guide said "'92-97 S4/S6".

Default The shocks did change over the years, 92 was the stiffest, 97 the softest.

This is in the North America.

So you bought your shocks from Audi?$$$
