I wasn't quite happy with the sound (very subjective) as for me, it has a drone around 2500-2800 and it was deafening and it must be due to the smaller CAT that they use. They said this is a better CAT and lasts longer but for me the sound and comfort inside the cabin was more important. The wifey hated it.

So I brought it up to Jeff Posto and he sent me a Gen 4 midsection and it was a night and day difference. Once again this is subjective as others have different taste in tone and sound. So to those planning on a future purchase, keep this in mind.

All in all, I am very happy with the results not to mention the buil quality. Amazing and worth the money.

So what you are saying, you have a Gen 4.5 now, Gen 5 with Gen 4 mid-section?

great sound while accelerating yet it shuts up nicely once cruising, all i hear on the highway is tire and wind noise. I wasn't aware they came out with a gen 5, how recent is this?

an illustrious point of how sensitive tuning the audio qualities of a 3" exhaust can be !

I think most people would prefer the Gen 4 cats as a DD.

The uBer performance oriented guys prefer the Stromung test pipe (cat delete), so the Gen 5 cats would satisfy those guys.
