I previously owned a 6sp MY2000
Great car, need h-sports right away if you get one. Makes the car actually able to corner.
Biggest concern is the turbos. Their like zits on a teenagers face, sooner or later they are going to pop.
Turbo replacement is VERY VERY labor intensive and runs around $5K at a shop. Of course while replacing the turbos your best bet is to move up to something like K04's and of course that requires updated software.
Depending on the year and mileage you can shop for a 3rd party warranty, spend some time researching the companies and make sure they cover turbos.
I really regret selling mine, it was a fun car and I had a pretty rare color combo. Just know that getting one means a big smile while driving, but a lot of stress about the turbos.
I forgot to add, like all other Audi's of this era t-belt is always a concern, be pro-active and don't wait for the factory recommended 90-100K to replace it. If you are looking at cars around 70K miles make sure the job has been done. Again, very labor intensive and goes for about $1200 at a shop for parts and labor.

Very low starting price,,, I've been driving a 2.7t tip for 2 weeks now, Very Promising, but
Feels very big in comparison. Might just need some suspension tweaks though. The power curve is pretty fat.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-A6-2-7t-6-SPEED-FULL-WARRANTY-LEFT-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ320146291667QQihZ011QQcategoryZ60 04QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-A6-2-7t-6-SPEED-FULL-WARRANTY-LE
