Default That makes sence, as springs like every thing else age. I've been wondering if thats what i need

as my wiper blades often lift at speeds above 70. Although it may be due to the fact that I'm using rain-x wiper blades which don't have a spoiler. Probably a combination of warn arm springs and blades prone to lifting. How difficult was it to replace the arm?

Default 'bout a 5 minute job.

10 if the wiper is stuck on the spline, mine wasn't at all.

pop the cap off the mounting bolt. remove bolt, and remove arm.

Default So the springs themselves cannot be changed on the wiper arms??

I had the same problem, but went the ghetto route, bought a universal external clip on spring from a parts store... 5 bucks later my driver's side wiper arm is almost like a new one.

Default Changed both of mine this winter

And went to 20 inch blades which really doesn't decrease the amount of clean windshield by much.. To lazy to go buy a set of 22s, maybe next year...
