lifting wiper at speed resolved with new wiper arm...
haven't been past 85 yet. but the icons are stuck the the winshield now! the tension in the drivers side arm was nil compared to the new one.

That makes sence, as springs like every thing else age. I've been wondering if thats what i need
as my wiper blades often lift at speeds above 70. Although it may be due to the fact that I'm using rain-x wiper blades which don't have a spoiler. Probably a combination of warn arm springs and blades prone to lifting. How difficult was it to replace the arm?

So the springs themselves cannot be changed on the wiper arms??
I had the same problem, but went the ghetto route, bought a universal external clip on spring from a parts store... 5 bucks later my driver's side wiper arm is almost like a new one.

Changed both of mine this winter
And went to 20 inch blades which really doesn't decrease the amount of clean windshield by much.. To lazy to go buy a set of 22s, maybe next year...
