assembly? Tie rod ends replaced 50k miles ago and still in good shape. Car has 110k total miles, more then half of them in CA.

Default what would you look for? if they are bent, stress cracks in the metal, rust...

the part that bolts to the rack is just a rubber bushing with a metal sleeve, not too much that's going to go wrong there.

Default if replacement is easy right now then why not replace both of them, saves money in long run

w/ more alignments and labor costs.

2nd, tie rod ends are like $20 ea.

Default but what goes wrong with the assembly? how many times have you seen or heard these go bad?...

not talking about the ends, just the assembly

Default i had just replaced a loose tie rod that was preventing me from good alignment

had 169,000 miles on assembly, did them both $100 from Blau so why not?

the end that bolts to the rack was loose? Oblonged? was the rubber worn out?
