Valve cover gasket replacement questions
I need to replace this gasket. I was wondering if and where I need to use a torque wrench, i.e. on the coil pack cover or valve cover, and how many lbs they are spec'd to.

OK, but I can't even get the damn valve cover off
Thanks. I took out 6 bolts but the valve cover won't budge. Do I need to get the front belt wheel off? This thing is giving me a real hard time, are there any online instructions? It's almost as if the large seal around the outside is just gripping it down.

There are also two bolts in the middle by the plugs holding it to the head. Did you get them?
Anyway, six seems too few.
It will be stuck to the head. Once you are sure you have ALL of the bolts/nuts removed then a rap with a RUBBER mallet might be of some use.

As per the diagram inside, you need to remove 2 No.15s, 4 No. 16s and 2 No. 19s. Keep track of the

I just did mine, there are more than 6 actually. In the center, under the coil pack cover...
Two of the bolts are fancy ones that the coil pack cover screws into. That's right, the coil pack screws go into four holes, and two of those holes are actually bolts themselves which you must remove! My friend and I figured this out when we too couldn't remove the cover after 6 bolts. :-)
They appear to be #19 in UrS4Boy's picture.
