Default VEMs

I'm interested in switching my AAN converted coupe from stock Motronic to VEMs and was looking for info on what additional hardware I would need (ignition components, sensors, etc.) I am also looking for a source for the system. I checked the faqs and STFA'd. Thanks for any info.

That's pretty cheap for what it is.

Default That's pretty slick. Few questions...

And I am sure it has been answered but I'm lazy to search..
1/ Do you still maintain diagnostics features?
2/ Can you play with maps without being connected to the ECU?
3/ Do you still use MAF or can rid of it?

AAN'd 90q with this would be nice =)

answers to your questions:

1)diagnostic features

vag-com still talks to everything else in the car, it will essentially report that it can't find the ecu, no big surprise there

In terms of troubleshooting problems the tuning software shows you a realtime display of all the sensor data so its pretty easy to spot when something is wrong, eg air temp sensor reading -20C on a summer day.. etc.

2)yes, you can view your maps offline (feel free to poke around the tuning software: http://www.efiexpress.com/downloads/VemsMT1.1.27_audi.zip

3)MAF goes Buh-Bye. Good riddance.
