For all those comparing the Q8 to the Range Rover Sport

Never Follows
I haven't seen anyone make that comparison.
The RR to me has always been an overpriced status symbol with terrible reliability.
Only brand less reliable is Chrysler.

I was pretty sure I wanted the Q8 before they hit dealerships (I'd ordered one) but to be sure I took a look at several others for comparison. I looked at the RR Sport, BMW X6 and Mercedes GLC. Of those I was most impressed with the RR Sport... but I still didn't think I'd like it as much as the Q8. Then I saw the Q8 and it hands down was the right vehicle for me.

As much as I love the looks of the RRS, you couldn't pay me to buy another Range Rover product anytime soon. My Velar has been a nightmare since I leased it.
I agree with the comments above regarding RR's badge appeal. People are willing to put up with an outdated/glitchy/unreliable car because it says Range Rover on the back.

In terms of features, the q8 and RR Sport can definitely be cross shopped.
Besides the badge, there is a degree of elegance to Range Rovers. While they do a great job on design, exterior and interior, the electronics on the newer versions are pretty unreliable if you read the forums
I was told earlier that reliability had improved when the Tata group bought them out, but I guess not
I have always wanted a Range Rover (LWB Autobiography) but there is no way I will put up with repeated visits to the dealer, especially for such an expensive vehicle.

Why are you so unhappy with your Velar?
