After studiously going through a bunch of modules over the last 4 or so hours, I may have found it. Unfortunately I won't be able to test this for 24 hours.
I believe, that by going into module 46, for the Central Module Comfort System, that if you/we change motor_variant from
Old: combustion_engine_with_start_stopp (yes, 2Ps)
to the one without start stop
That it should do it. Can anyone give this a try tonight please? If not, I will try it tomorrow.

Good find but unfortunately it will not allow this change. When you try to save the new value (combustion engine without start stopp) it says function not available.

I presume you tried with Terminal 15 on and the ignition off right? Eg car in ACC mode without being started?

Yes, I’ve programmed a lot of changes already with OBD, but haven’t been able to disable Auto S/S.

I found this under Central Electrics..
"Deaktivierung der Start-Stopp-Funktion (Klimatisierung):
not active"
Wonder if that works? I'll give it a shot in a few days!

If you can access control unit (08) Air Conditioning, select 'Adaptation' and look for the parameter entitled "A/C comfort parameter for start-stop function". The default/factory value for this parameter is 5. Changing the value to 0 effectively disables start-stop permanently, at least on some Audi models such as A4, A5, Q5 and Q7. This has worked 100% on my 2018 Q5 for almost 2 years now. Good luck.

^ With my owning a Q5 I'm not familiar with all the control unit names on the Q8... but do you have / have you tried to access control unit (08) Air Conditioning or similar such name?
