Hi, i have retrofitted AMI to my 2014 A4 with a Concert 3 radio. Little confused with the wiring.

The parts came supplied with a fuse for some reason unknown. The manual says to connect a red/orange wire to the brown fuse carrier in the passenger side of the dash next to the can jumper connector. It says use pin 1 and if occupied use pin 7. The problem here is pin 1 is empty, but there's no source of power going here whereas pin 7 is occupied. Should this cable be used to power the AMI unit and if so, why would it tell me to use pin 1 if its empty.
