Default a4/s4 seperates? anyone have 3 ways?

I have a question, I never really see that many systems in audis. But then again I haven't been around the audi seen for a long time. But I was wondering does anyone have any pics or know anyone who has 3 way seperates in there Audi a4/s4? When I get my S4 I am thinking of putting CDT HD 3 way seperates in and I was wondering how hard it is to fit a kick panel in. thank inadvance...

Default There's not much room in the kicks. They're chock full of wires in behind, and you'd lose your....

dead pedal on the driver's side.

I think a custom door panel insert near the bottom may be the way to go if you wanted to get a decent 3way set in the front. Unfortunately though - the A4 just plain sucks for car audio. Too small.

Default how about the S4?

I think I might just go with high end 2 way seperates. I really don;t want to have to deal with the door! I did with one of my friends car(civic) and it was just a pain, and I dont want to mess up and have to buy an AUDI door panel which probably cost an arm and leg.

Default saw a pick 2 or 3 days ago of a kick WITH the dead pedal...

It would be impossible to fit a 3 way set in a kick panel if we're talking a 7" woofer (like Dynaudio). Local guy has custom kicks with 5.25" woofers in them.

Default 61/2 woofer 4 midrange, and 1" tweeter

I would only be putting midrange and tweeter in there, and then the woofer in the stock position. Also HDclown do you think you could get pics of his setup? And any chance you know how long it took him.

Default 5 1/4's in the kicks seem like a waste to me. I've got 5.25s in the doors - need more muscle.

Need at least 7" drivers up front in an A4. I'm thinking about a custom add-on to the door panel.

Default im gonna talk to the ppl who made his kicks, see whats dooable...

they were 100% custom though, you could easily fit 4" and tweet in them.

Default well he has them in kicks as opposed to doors, only time I've seen 7" in kicks is when

they usually end up cutting out part of the floor to not take up an assload of room in the footwells, otherwise it's a custom door panel.
