Default Alternator Whine Help Please...

I've tried several different grounds (bolts on the car and several other grounds), my power and RCA cables are ran down the opposite sides of the car, but still I have that annoying whine.

Are there any relatively simple solutions to this problem? Would better RCA's help? I'm currently using the RF Twisted Pair RCA's.

Thanks a lot.

Directly from the battery, and wired it behind the ECU box into the cabin

Default Thanks for your help by the way... (answers in thread)

I used 8 gauge wire for the amp and yeah, my wires are inside the ECM box.

Maybe I'll try rerouting the power line. But where else can I go from the cabin to the battery?

if you look where the hood release cable is you should see a block off plug near the cable.you could use that and SEAL it very well to keep water out

Default I thought that stero shops sold capacitors to install in power leads to eliminate this?

I'm probably dating myself, but I remember doing this many years ago on one or two stereo installations.

Might try a stereo shop or (ahem) Radio Shack.

Default Did you use a Blau line-out adapter?

If so, maybe this will help:

Also, are you getting the noise regardless of the source?

Good luck.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/audio/msgs/13471.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/audio/msgs/13471.phtml</a</li></ul>

Sounds crazy, but try this. Got to Radio Shack and get a ground loop isolator and try that.
