Default B5 Audi S4 System Upgrade help

I've been driving the car around for about a year now dealing with the stock audio system and now that I've gotten stage 2 out of the way - its time to upgrade the audio.

I can't say I'm terribly knowledgeable about stereo systems so far - but here goes:

Keeping stock headunit
Upgrading amp to Alpine MRP-F240 (link below)
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?CategoryID=cat03086&id=10993886507 75&skuId=6983348&type=product&DCMP=KN C-TLC&ref=25&loc=PGR

Upgrading front speakers to Alpine SPS-130A (5 1/4")
Upgrading rear deck speakers to Alpine SPS-170A (6 1/2")

Leaving rear passenger door speakers stock (for now)

My question being that I do know the stock Bose system runs at 2ohms, while most aftermarket items run at 4ohms. The MRP-F240 has 4 channels and looks like it has 2ohm outputs also - can I run the rear passenger door speakers on these lines? What do I do about the tweeters on the front doors as well - ok to leave them stock?

I have a VAG-COM tool and will also be de-bosefying the system and messing with the equalizer settings once everything's up and running.

Any help greatly appreciated, and happy holidays folks.

Default Mine's an A4 and non-bose, but I've been reading...

The Symphony HU has line-outs. If the Bose amp uses these line-level outs (I also heard that one Bose system is fiber optic), then use the amp ins. Don't use stock speakers or amps! You have bought good equipment, so use the lowest-level possible for it. Search this forum for wire colors and info- it's been a great resource to me!

Default So essentially...

Let me see if I've got this straight -

What I have to do is build a wiring harness that turns the AMP-in's into RCA adaptors and hook up the RCA to the new Amp I want to throw in.

I'd also have to run a power line to the rear trunk area to power the new amplifier.

I'd go ahead and use the stock wiring in place to power the new speakers, and in the meantime disable the rear door speakers completely until I purchase another set to place inside them.

After that, I'd de-bosefy the headunit via VAG-COM so it won't send out the weird signals that the bose-amp requires and *hope* that everything works.

Let me know if I missed anything, thanks for the advice and I would really appreciate it if anyone could also give their input on this.

Happy holidays everyone.

Default It's what I'm doing!

Just check the AC voltage at the wires so you don't blow something.
