Best way to get line level out on 2002/2003 Symphony II for subwoofer install

You don't want the plastic - just the push in pins.
Live a little. Walk into a VW dealer and buy some. They're cheap. And you don't have to touch the Jetta's, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Pick up a Blaupunkt adapter and re-pin the factory plug...

Then you just plug your interconnects in and go! John P. (TT225) has good instructions for the re-pinning on his site...get there through his sig.

Kind of...
If all you want to do is a sub install then I would skip the Blau adapter and splice into the line-level signal in the trunk that feeds the bose amp. If you re-pin the head unit you'll lose the rear speakers of your factory system (which isn't a problem ut some people like to have rear speakers even though it's not very good for your sound stage). Now, if you're upgrading to a sub plus new speakers up front with an amp to run it all then you should use the Blau adapter to re-pin the front line-level outputs. I finally got all the issues figured out from my system install in my A4 with Bose, so feel free to ask. I'll get a post on the whole deal up in a week or so.

is there an actual contact to ground in one of those?
Ineed to ground my signal to ground, but I was wondering if I should go RCA ground to HU ground or from the HU signal ground pin (through Blau adapter) to HU ground.
