Took it to a car audio shop and they tested it and it is blown on the output end. While it worked, I absolutely loved it. Now I am considering upgrading to a 1000/1. I was running a single 12w6 and was wondering if I should sell it for a more powerful single sub or just run 2 W6's.

Before you upgrade to double the power, my focus would be why did it blow in the first place.

JL amps are reasonable but JL subs are wayyy overpriced IMO

The 2 yr warranty would have been ~20 but my dumbass self didnt see the need to get one. The weird thing was that the amp blew right after my battery started to fail. I changed my battery and disconnected the - terminal first to the car but the audio shop said that in rare cases it is actually possible for the battery to ground through the amp and out the RCA's. It still worked a week or two after but then one day I just got into my car and it was shot. I always cranked it near its limit but I think that it would be better to get a higher output amp and drive it well below its limit.
