Bluetooth car kit and multifunctional steering wheel
Is there a way to integrate the phone buttons of the steering wheel controls with a bluetooth car kit (Sony, Motorola, etc. - haven't chosen yet) in '01 A6? Since the controls can do all basic phone functions, the idea is not to use the control module of car kit. According to this tech article, none of the pins of DB25 connector in the trunk go to the steering wheel. So where do those buttons go? RJ45 in the armrest?

Re: Bluetooth car kit and multifunctional steering wheel
it isnt possible to integrate an aftermarket kit to the factory controls......the most you will get is the radio to mute and possible sound through the audio system. The factory phones use a pse module to integrate a specially chiped phone to work with the factory controls.

The buttons "go" to the steering wheel control unit...
Which is a box that looks like a relay in the panel behind the fusebox. The control unit is what sends all signals to the Audi telephone control box.
