Bose pkg speaker problems, need advice.
I'm on my second blown rear deck speaker with the OEM Bose setup. When I had the first one replaced, it blew again on my way home from the dealer.
The problem is that the closest dealer is a 500-mile round trip for me. I really don't want to go back there just to have the problem occur again.
Problem #2 is that the car is a lease and I don't want to drop a lot of cash on new equipment.
Is there a relatively inexpensive way to replace the rear Bose speakers with something else that will integrate into the Bose system? What should I do? This blown speaker makes the system practically unlistenable.

the bose spkrs are "unique"
There's nothing you can replace them with "safely"
I suggest calling the dealer and seeing how they want to resolve the issue. As you are under warranty, the dealer should go to great lengths to solve the problem.
Ask if there is a local shop they can subcontract out to in El Paso.
