I don't have the time nor have I used the unit long enough to write a full review but I'll offer this so far.


Works just as advertised except "PHONE" mute does not turn off ipod like it should. Dension says they are working on an update to the firmware and will ship me a new unit when they have resolved the problem. All other functions including mode switching work. When I select CD , the ipod turns off and starts charging. etc.

Sound quality is excellent. Sound level of volume is 15-20% lower than cd/radio (i think) may just be some quiet mp3s. Have not come to a conclusion on this yet, dension says they are unaware of this complaint, i find that the stereo DOES go loud enough but barely sometimes. if i find it still annoying, when dension sends me the updated version with corrected phone mute, ill have them send me a "louder" unit , they informed me that they can do this.

note: this is only means that when i have my windows down and i want my music very loud, sometimes i find myself spinning the volume ***, meaning its as loud as the speakers go, in cd mode I NEVER get this high on the volume scale, but this does not mean its a problem for normal listening levels. Just means that i have to remember to turn it down before switching back to CD.

In all, putting my ipod in my audi is the best thing i've done since my toyguy short shifter. I love it!

Cost: 229 dollars
Value: I may be hiding my ipod in my armrest and If i do this, having control of the tracks forward and back buttons is key.
