Alpine's iPod adapter isn't all that it's cracked up to be. =(

Pros:
Charges your iPod.
Great sound quality.
Line level out.
Controls your iPod from head unit.
Cons:
Clunky interface.
Can only display 55 artists (?! -- you have to create folders A-Z, and then put your artists in there).
Cannot shuffle songs, artists, or albums.
Slow when displaying songs, artists or albums.
Must buy $150 adapter to use with satellite radio.
All in all, I guess it's worth the $100, but I was expecting for and hoping for more.

Yes and yes. Reportedly, it works better on the regular headunits than it does on the MMS's.
Which does us a whole lot of good, eh?
I called Alpine about it, and they're "working on a solution".

I've only been able to drive with the top down once or twice since the install...
Honestly, it's not bad at all.
The screen on my unit is supposed to be one of the nicest and brightest on the market, though.
