Looking for a Symphony II deck and question about I/O lines
A CD got jammed in my deck and pretty much toast it.
I'm looking for a Symphony II deck for my 2002 A6.
Also, does anyone know what the BOSE line to and from the deck is for?
thanks

Is this the GA pin on some? The Bose pin wants a ground in Bose systems...
...the Bose amp wants an unprocessed signal.
The HU sends a processed, EQd signal to non-Bose systems, where that pin is floating, and the output changes to flat once that pin is grounded.

GA is GALA, not Bose
And in newer system the Bose pin only disables the internal amp for the front speakers. The coding makes it output Bose or flat signals.

If you haven't tested your statement with an audio analyzer, I don't believe you.
I've taken 2006 Audi radios and changed the Bose setting with a VAG COM and tested the output response with pink noise and an RTA< and the damn thing does not change until you ground that pin.
Look at the wiring diagrams for Bose and non-Bose cars.
And on CAN cars I've seen a GALA or GA pin which is tied to ground only on Bose cars per the wiring diagrams. I assume that on CAN cars the VSS wire is on the bus, and that the GA designation is no longer accurate.
